Privacy Policy
Narvo helps you understand your money. To do that, it needs some of your financial information. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The short version: we use your data only to run Narvo for you, we never sell it, and you can delete it at any time.
Who we are
Narvo is a personal finance app at mynarvo.com, operated by Alexander Rodriguez in Florida, United States. In this policy, "Narvo," "we" and "us" mean the app and its operator. Questions or requests: hello@mynarvo.com.
What we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, your name and a unique account ID from Google. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not access your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account.
Profile details you choose to give. Your first and last name, your city and state, and the optional "About you" note. These help Narvo greet you, recognize your own transfers and give more relevant answers.
Financial information. The transactions you add, by uploading a CSV file from your bank or by connecting a bank: date, description, amount, category and account name. We also store what you create in Narvo: account names and types, savings goals, portfolio holdings and values you enter, your spending plan, custom categories and the words you teach Narvo, trips, notes, and cash purchases you log.
Bank connection information. If you connect a bank, it is done through Plaid. You sign in to your bank inside Plaid's window, and Narvo never sees or stores your bank username or password. We store an access token from Plaid (encrypted), your bank's name, account names and the last four digits of account numbers, so we can keep your transactions up to date.
AI conversations. The questions you ask Narvo's AI advisor and its answers. We also keep recent AI answers for up to 24 hours so a repeated question does not need to be answered, and paid for, twice.
Usage and technical information. How many AI requests your account has used this month, to enforce monthly limits. If something breaks, an error report with technical details (such as the page, the error and your browser type) is sent to our error monitoring service. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.
Waitlist. If you join the waitlist on this website, we store your email address and the date you joined. We use it only to invite you to Narvo, and we email you once when there is room. To be removed, email hello@mynarvo.com.
Website visits. This website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or follow you across other sites. It shows us totals such as which pages were viewed, not who you are.
Cookies. Narvo uses only what it needs to keep you signed in and the app working. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use your information
We use your information only to provide and improve Narvo for you: to sign you in, show and categorize your transactions, keep connected banks up to date, calculate your totals, goals and plans, answer your questions with the AI advisor, enforce monthly AI limits, fix problems, keep the service secure, and reply when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use your financial data to market other products to you.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run Narvo, only what each one needs, and only to provide Narvo to you.
| Provider | What they do for Narvo | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and sign-in | Your account, everything you store in Narvo, and waitlist emails |
| Railway | Hosts the app | Data passing through the app while you use it, and server logs |
| Sign in with Google | Confirms who you are when you sign in | |
| Plaid | Connects your bank, if you choose to | Your bank sign-in (entered in Plaid's window, never seen by Narvo) and your account and transaction data |
| Anthropic | Powers the AI features (Claude) | Transaction details, your profile notes and your questions, when you use an AI feature |
| Sentry | Error monitoring | Technical details when something breaks |
| Cloudflare | Domain, this website, bot protection on the waitlist form, visit counts and email forwarding | Website requests, a bot check when you join the waitlist, and emails you send to hello@mynarvo.com |
About the AI. When you use an AI feature, such as insights, the advisor chat or automatic categorizing, the relevant transaction details and your question are sent to Anthropic to produce an answer. Anthropic processes this under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to use our customers' content to train its models, and it deletes it within 30 days. Anthropic can keep it longer only if its systems flag a request for breaking its usage policy, as its privacy center explains. AI answers can be wrong, so please double-check anything important.
About Plaid. If you connect a bank, Plaid collects and handles your data under its own End User Privacy Policy, which you can read before you connect. You can disconnect a bank in Narvo's Settings at any time.
Google user data. Narvo uses only basic Google sign-in information (your name, email address and account ID) to create and secure your account. Narvo's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When the law requires it. We may share information if required by law, such as a valid court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or Narvo.
If Narvo changes hands. If Narvo becomes part of a company, or is sold or merged, your information may move to the new owner, who must keep honoring this policy or tell you before anything changes.
How we protect it
Your data is walled off at the database level: each account can read and change only its own records. Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), bank access tokens are encrypted before they are stored, and the accounts used to run Narvo are protected with two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete it yourself at any time:
- Delete transactions: Settings, Delete transactions, for any account and month, or all of them.
- Disconnect a bank: Settings. Narvo stops receiving new transactions from that bank.
- Delete your account: Settings, Delete account. This permanently deletes your Narvo account and everything saved in it, disconnects any linked banks and signs you out.
Deleted data is removed from Narvo's database right away. Any backup copies our database provider keeps expire on its own schedule. Error reports and server logs expire on our providers' own schedules, and saved AI answers expire after 24 hours. You can ask us to remove your waitlist email at any time.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: Settings, Export data, gives you your transactions as a CSV file.
- Correct it: edit any transaction, category or profile detail in the app.
- Delete it: see above.
- Limit AI use: the AI advisor and insights run only when you use them. Narvo may also use AI to categorize transactions it doesn't recognize when you add them. If you'd rather it didn't, contact us.
If you'd like a copy of everything we hold about you, or have any other privacy request, email hello@mynarvo.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's law, and we will honor them.
Age requirement
Narvo is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. For significant changes, we will also tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
